Given Samsung’s next Unpacked event has been officially confirmed to kick off at 7AM in New Zealand, you may be relieved to know there’s very little reason to stay up for it. Most of the Galaxy S24’s specs had already been fully revealed, but now a full specs sheet has come out, courtesy of the German site WinFuture.
The “official data sheet” apparently comes from “trustworthy sources” and there’s certainly very little in here that seems wildly out of place on a 2024 Android flagship phone:

There are a couple of interesting things about the processors, however. The first is that — in Europe, at least — only the Ultra is listed as getting the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with the others getting the consolation prize of a Samsung Exynos processor. And if Samsung objects to that ‘consolation prize’ quip, it can explain why its own Exynos chips aren’t powering the most premium model.
The second is that the Ultra handset is listed as getting a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy. That in itself isn’t surprising — last year’s models also got a special souped-up Qualcomm chipset ‘for Galaxy’. What’s odd is that while it runs at 3.39GHz (up from 3.3GHz in the standard chip), its other cores are slightly slower.
Another thing to note is that while the basic Samsung Galaxy S24 is barely changed from the S23, the S24 Plus has actually received quite a few upgrades. Its battery is 200mAh larger, its got 4GB more RAM and the resolution is now QHD, whereas its predecessor was stuck at 1,080 x 2,340. That means that, thanks to its smaller screen, it actually should look a bit sharper than the S24 Ultra.
What’s left a mystery from this new leak is all the AI tricks the handset is supposed to have. At the time of writing, seeing these in action is about the only reason left to tune into the event on January 17 — unless Samsung has managed to keep another big launch off the radar out of the tipsters’ hands.
