The easiest way to get My Vaccine Pass on your phone is by creating an account on My Covid Record.
My Covid Record isn’t an app. It’s a website. You can access it through any browser on any device here.
The first thing you’ll need to do is create an account on My Covid Record. To do this, you’ll need a valid email address and proof of identification. This can be a drivers license, passport, birth certificate or citizenship certificate. You can also use an Australian passport or birth certificate.
Once you’ve created an account, you’ll be sent a verification email to ensure that it’s you. Put the code you’ve been emailed into the verification request on the My Covid Record website.
Now that you’re verified, you can go to your My Covid Record and request a vaccine pass. There are two options, My Vaccine Pass and International Travel Vaccination Certificate. The first one is for use within New Zealand. The second is for use outside of New Zealand. Choose whichever one you need. Once you’ve done that, your vaccine pass will be emailed to the address you set up My Covid Record with within 24 hours.
From here, you can save the pass to your Apple wallet if you’re using an Apple device or to your Google Pay wallet if you’re using an Android device. Alternatively, you can keep it in your email inbox. The email contains an attachment containing a QR code that represents your Covid vaccination history.
