Peugeot announces two new EVs, the e-208 GT and the e-2008 SUV, to their lineup in New Zealand. Pre-bookings open on 21 June 2021 for 100 units (no information yet on how many units each model is allocated) with deliveries taking place later this year.
The e-208 GT will be sold for NZ$59,990 (ex-showroom) while the e-2008 SUV will go for NZ$69,990 (ex-showroom). Peugeot says that both the new launches will be eligible for the full NZ$8,625 rebate, slashing their prices down to NZ$51,365 and NZ$61,365 respectively.

“With the attention surrounding the Clean Car rebate and unprecedented interest in the Peugeot range of low-emission vehicles, we have decided to fast track the launch of the e-208 GT and e-2008 SUV,” said the CEO of Auto Distributors New Zealand, Chris Brown.
Information is thin on the specs for both these models with more information expected to drop closer to the launch. The only confirmed information available is the range with the e-208 GT having 340kms and the e-2008 having 320kms, claims the french carmaker.
With this launch, New Zealand is one of the first countries outside of Europe to get these EVs in 2021.
